Using what makes sense

assumed integrity
supports a foundation
whose stability
sways in doubt.
pretense of certainty
allows for development
upon a loose basis.
ideals borne of
a reality misconceived.

Real doubt

i walk around,
confused.
i’m unsure of my knowledge,
therefore,
i question the knowledge of others.
do we follow logic or each other?
either way,
it seems that we trail
behind those before us.
“common sense” or “norms”
speak of oppression.
unity divides the whole,
misconception is the only reality.

Remembering what happened and more

memory is a touchy subject
because it has a tendency
to elaborate.
facts lived are
more adamantly detailed
upon recollection,
but during such
reflections are mirrored
the ideals of misconception.
preconception tends the
grounds of deception.

I don’t know

allow me to
point
you in this direction.
don’t follow my lead
though,
this is just what i’ve been told.
i presume scraps of truth
in what’s been said.
reason rests upon
fanciful belief.
belief and fact,
skewed,
impede judgment,
to which each slant levels.
distorted facts contort belief
towards irrationality.
i don’t know what i know.

Money run clocks

A saying I’m familiar in hearing is , “time equals money,” I can now reaffirm, through my own experience, its assertion in defining a truth.

i’m losing time, and as such, money follows.
misplaced investments teach suckers how to suck,
i couldn’t tell you what good investments prove.
i’m sure it wouldn’t be something to complain about.
then again, i don’t think i’d be completely satisfied
if i didn’t hold a gripe with something.
if all goes right, there must be something going wrong?
then again,
all my rights turned left.
